How it all started...
After visiting many churches in the east Tennessee area, Pastor David Jeffers witnessed a hunger for God's words that was not being fulfilled and knew the calling of God was on his life to start a church. With a group of 8 people meeting in their kitchen, they quickly grew to an office building off of Chapman Hwy in January of 2002.
There was a 25ft x 25ft basement room where all services were held and an upstairs area which had the main entrance, a small kitchen, and two rooms suitable for classrooms.

Expanding the vision...
God blessed the church and more people were added as time went by. The rented office building became so crowded that the congregation began to pray about building. After quite some time, the Lord finally blessed the church with four acres of beautiful property priced under market value.
With help from the Craftsmen For Christ Ministry, the church was able to break ground in March of 2004. In just around four months the building was completed and the first service was held on Sunday morning of July 4, 2004.

Where we are headed...
Bible Baptist Church continues to grow with support of 50+ missionaries around the world, many local outreaches such as door to door witnessing and street ministry, and an ever growing children's ministry every Wednesday night. The church is currently focused on expanding its social media presence with YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to help get the Gospel of Jesus Christ out around the world.
Bible Baptist Church is also moving forward in the summer of 2020 with plans of expanding for a larger fellowship hall and more classrooms to accommodate the growing congregation.
