02/24/2026 - Sanctification

Feb 24, 2026    Pastor David Jeffers

In today's "Minute Message", Pastor Jeffers uses scripture to explain the process of sanctification. In this video, he uses certain terms that we feel could be expounded upon using Noah Webster's "American Dictionary Of The English Language" from 1828; this dictionary used the KJV as its basis for defining words found in the vernacular of the English language. Please see the definitions and terms listed below:

1. Self-examination (n): An examination or scrutiny into one’s own state, conduct and motives, particularly in regard to religious affections and duties.

2. Self-denial (n): The denial of one’s self; the forebearing to gratify one’s own appetites or desires.

3. Guard (v): to keep, preserve, defend;

4. Prayer (n): 2. In worship, a solemn address to the Supreme Being, consisting of adoration, or an expression of God’s glorious perfections, confession of our sins, supplication for mercy and forgiveness, intercession for blessings on others, and thanksgiving, or an expression of gratitude to God for his mercies and benefits. A prayer however may consist of a single petition, and it may be extemporaneous, written or printed.
