Pastor Jeffers uses the story of the man in Luke 12 to illustrate how focusing on the things of this world make us a fool to the Lord. The man in Jesus' story was not a fool because he was a farmer, rich, a hard worker, or because he cared for what he had. God called him a fool because he was self-centered, ungrateful to the Lord, focused on worldly treasures rather than heavenly ones, prepared for old age rather than death, presumed upon tomorrow, and made plans without consulting God.
